And yet another Arenanet blog topic ...

This time the blog topic of note is on Progression and Leveling in Guild Wars 2 and if you don't feel like going to read it out youself here is a summary :

ArenaNet have taken note of the fact many players wanted higher levels to show their progression and so have set the cap at 80 for the moment, at the same time they don't want progression to be linked to levels exclusively so they've made the difference between levels rather flat and have added many other ways to track progression according to what players want to do, or in their own words : achievements, trait collection, crafting, dungeons, skill collection, items, and much more.

In short they want their game to be content driven and not level driven and to be fair who can blame them except maybe the few people who'll want to max every title and will complain about the grind unless ANet has tackled that also by allowing many activities to count for the same progression tracks thus making sure nobody feels forced into an activity because he wants a particular title to show.

This time, rather than assuming you all visit arenanet's blog to read on their faqs concerning topics posted on the official site, I'll post a link to the topic of the day which is a faq about a ranger and his pets and can be read at http://www.arena.net/blog/eric-flannum- ... #more-2732

Which makes me think I've got to look up at a way to field questions, I know its there since others are fielding them but I haven't found it yet, unless mailing at ANet is enough :D

After the ranger more news ...

You can definitely feel there's a game convention coming where ANet intends to showcase guildwars because after the Ranger we get a free preview of the ghost of ascalon book at http://www.guildwars2.com/global/includ ... apter1.pdf and on top of that we get a map of tyria as it stands now which you can see at http://www.guildwars2.com/en/shop/ghosts-of-ascalon/ or for a direct link at http://www.guildwars2.com/global/includ ... -tyria.gif

P.S. for comparison's purpose here is a map of tyria from guildwars first of the name, impressive differences if I say so myself.
